The company

Our client is a very known and reputable major cruise line located in South Florida

The role

Prepares and reviews design, documentation, and analysis for new build projects. Coordinates the input to projects from in-house sources, site offices, architects and other consultants. Bachelors degree from an accredited school in naval architecture. Minimum of 7 to 10 years experience in naval architecture in the passenger ship building industry. Project management experience in shipbuilding is critical:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge and records of the operation of our ships from a stability/strength point of view
Present technical advice on the optimum conditions of operation and fuel economy
Provide naval architectural advice to the technical department relating to hull and equipment
Participate in projects related to major modifications and conversions to hull, steel structure, equipment and stability improvements
Plan review of structural and statutory items for compliance with International Regulations and standards

The person

Experienced Naval Architect
Capable of working independently and with proven management skills
Experience in ship stability assessment and the use of NAPA preferred
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills
Able to work in a diverse/multicultural environment
